Ibalansi means 'balance' in Zulu. In essence, anything to do with horses is about balance. Body-balance, mind-balance, balance in feeding and treating your horse to achieve a healthy balance between you, your horse and the nature around you.

Equine services:
Horse training - Ibalansi offers clinics, workshops and Silent Horsemanship lessons at their own farm as well as at the place of your choice, on demand.

We provide Farrier services not just in Riversdale but for clients throughout the Garden Route.

We help with the rehabilitation of so called problem horses. In essence we welcome any horse into our livery program.

We help with the backing of young horses and once the basics of the riding horse is set, your horse will be able to achieve anything.

Riding School - From beginner to experienced, from child to adult. In short, Ibalansi welcomes everyone to learn more about the fine art of riding a horse.

All riding pupils will learn a broad spectrum of skills during their development while having fun doing it!

Another special aspect of their riding school is that they aim to only ride bit-less.

Horse Livery - Their livery facilities are based on the concept of species-friendly life. Their stables are designed to facilitate social interaction between horses while being stabled.

Trail Riding - They offer Trail Lessons for riders on their experienced horses, as well as riders on their own horses, or they train your horse.

Activities:
Horseback Safaris – The horseback safari combines long rides exploring nature with relaxing breaks.

Guided Safari Walks – You can track animals on foot and explore plants and beautiful landscape in the company of an expert guide and tracker.

Stargazing – Very little pollution and no city lights make for the heavens to be crystal clear. Experience the enormity of the night sky for yourself.

Mountain Biking – Mountain bikes and helmets are provided and a guide and tracker will accompany you as you explore the rugged landscape on a bike.

On Ibalansi horse and rider safety is core. This translated into well trained horses, clear and helpful instructions and well maintained and selected equipment.

Lara is originally from Germany where she has completed her studies in Animal Psychology, with Specialisation in Horse and Dog Behaviour. She moved to South Africa where she qualified as Nature and Marine Guide.

Adam has a background in Tourism Management and has different Guide Qualifications.
